WAYS TO DONATE IN BILL’S NAME

ST. XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL BILL KEATING, JR. SCHOLARSHIP

This needs-based scholarship will be offered each year to a member of the St. X swim and diver program. This scholarship honors Bill’s legacy of giving back to the program and will keep his legacy going forward, making an impact for future St. X swimmers and divers. Just as Bill’s selfless generosity has allowed a ripple to become a sustained wave, so too, this scholarship will grant those in need of assistance the opportunity to experience the benefits of a St. Xavier education year after year. UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI LINDNER COLLEGE OF BUSINESS – WILLIAM J. KEATING, JR. SCHOLARSHIP FOR NEW VENTURES FUND

Through the generosity and kindness of Bob and Kim Dobbs and Jackie Neumann, the William J. Keating, Jr. Scholarship for New Student Ventures was officially created.

This scholarship fund was created to foster entrepreneurship among students from all UC colleges and campuses.  The fund will support student investors and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and the drive to turn those ideas into reality. The scholarships will provide students needed resources which will empower them to focus on the development of promising technologies and the launch of new ventures. All of us who knew Bill appreciated his passion for our UC students and the entrepreneurial spirit in the City of Cincinnati. We are thrilled that this new fund will combine Bill’s passion with a critical priority for us here at the Lindner College of Business.

Earlier in the year, the Carl H. Lindner College of Business created an additional scholarship that serves as a leadership award to a student who makes a real difference in the community. The newly created William J. Keating, Jr. Scholarship for New Student Ventures Fund is in addition to the leadership award that the college has created.

Through this new scholarship, donors can support UC students who need resources to start their new ventures, continue to build the entrepreneurial spirit in the City of Cincinnati and honor Bill’s tremendous legacy. Click here to donate – choose search for category or fund, then choose Business, then choose William J. Keating, Jr. Scholarship for New Ventures Fund.

KEATING LEADERSHIP CINCINNATI FUND

Bill Keating Jr. was a proud member of Leadership Cincinnati Class 19. Leadership Cincinnati is a 10 month program that brings a cohort of 55 leaders together to learn about the challenges and assets of Cincinnati, develop life-long professional and personal relationships, and challenges leaders to elevate their leadership. Class 19 created a scholarship fund in Bill’s honor. The fund is set up to help leaders that may not be able to afford the program. Bill was recently honored with the Nelson Schwab Jr. Distinguished alumni award. A prestigious award given to a Leadership Cincinnati graduates once a year- recognizing two alum that are “leaders amongst leaders.”  Bill certainly was a role model of elevating his leadership and answered the question: Now what?  This scholarship fund will honor his great leadership. HONOR FLIGHT TRI-STATE

The Mission is Simple: we offer Honor Flights to veterans so they may visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. All World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans aged 65 and older, who served either stateside or overseas, are eligible. For many of our veterans, a trip to Washington to see their memorials is not financially or physically possible by themselves. This is the mission of Honor Flight Tri-State: to make that dream come true for as many veterans as possible. If a veteran does not have a family member to accompany them, we will assign a qualified and enthusiastic guardian, ready to assist them on their trip of a lifetime.  The HONOR FLIGHT trip is at no cost to the veterans and we are always looking for vets in the Tri-State area. Bill served as a guardian on an honor flight and supported Cheryl Popp and the honor flight team in their mission.  Click here to donate.
