Keating Leadership Cincinnati Fund

Bill Keating Jr. was a proud member of Leadership Cincinnati Class 19. Leadership Cincinnati is a 10 month program that brings a cohort of 55 leaders together to learn about the challenges and assets of Cincinnati, develop life-long professional and personal relationships, and challenges leaders to elevate their leadership. As participants complete the program they are asked the important question: Now What? Now what will you do to truly make a difference?

Class 19 created a scholarship fund in Bill’s honor. The fund is set up to help leaders that may not be able to afford the program. Bill was recently honored with the Nelson Schwab Jr. Distinguished alumni award. A prestigious award given to a Leadership Cincinnati graduates once a year- recognizing two alum that are “leaders amongst leaders.”  Bill certainly was a role model of elevating his leadership and answered the question: Now what?  This scholarship fund will honor his great leadership.

Bill Keating, Jr.’s Great Ohio River Swim

Bill always looked forward to the annual Great Ohio River Swim. He loved racing his kids, his former swimmers, his friends, and even his Dad at age 82! This year, the event was renamed in Bill’s memory. We had over 200 participants and even more spectators who came out for the event on a beautiful Sunday morning. Thank you to all those who joined to honor the memory of our Dad.

Lane 8 Fund

Lane 8 is a fundraiser to level the playing field for inner-city youth in the sport of swimming. The Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) provides a great opportunity for kids to compete, but not every kid can afford simple essentials such as proper swimsuits, goggles, or swim caps.
