13 Ways to Be More Active at Work

  1. Walk or ride at least part of the way to work (park further away from the front door, get off the subway a stop early)
  2. Volunteer for the coffee run
  3. Have standing or walking meetings
  4. Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll be more likely to move around more)
  5. Track your steps
  6. Try a standing desk
  7. Walk to your colleague’s office instead of calling
  8. Stretch
  9. Get moving at lunchtime
  10. Take the stairs
  11. Start an office fitness challenge
  12. Take breaks to move
  13. Turn waiting into moving (calf raises while you’re at the copier, etc.)
