13 Ways to Be More Active at Work
- Walk or ride at least part of the way to work (park further away from the front door, get off the subway a stop early)
- Volunteer for the coffee run
- Have standing or walking meetings
- Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll be more likely to move around more)
- Track your steps
- Try a standing desk
- Walk to your colleague’s office instead of calling
- Stretch
- Get moving at lunchtime
- Take the stairs
- Start an office fitness challenge
- Take breaks to move
- Turn waiting into moving (calf raises while you’re at the copier, etc.)
