My Dad used to send this Thought of the Day at the beginning of March Madness every year.

“Millions of words are written annually purporting to tell you how to beat the odds. The best possible advice on the subject is found in the three words – Do not try.” – Dan Parker

To Do Today: Invest in yourself, not in a game of chance.

If you choose to gamble, only bet an amount that will not impact your wallet or purse.

Never gamble on what you NEED to win, but always less than what you can AFFORD to lose.

Split your bet in two – bet with half and donate the other half to charity.

This will GUARANTEE that every one of your bets is a winner – because your charity will always win!

To Do Today: Enjoy March Madness – but don’t do anything stupid.

Daily Lenten Commitment: “Let no one come to you without leaving better and happier.” – Mother Teresa
