May 13, 2017

Over the course of five Saturdays, we will be running our Words of Remembrance that we shared at our Dad’s funeral. Today’s features Jack’s words.

Thank you all for being here today.  And thank you for the love and support you have given our father and our family over the past six months.

I received the very first thought of day on September 4, 2000.  He never missed a day, which means I’ve read all 6,049 thoughts.
The funny thing is that when I think of dad, I think of the words of St. Ignatius: “Love is shown more in deeds than in words.”
Dad let no one come to him without leaving better and happier.  Or, of course, wiser.

Thank you.
